Puppy Love

Contributed by spike on Thursday, 29th December 2005 @ 03:13:20 AM in AEST
Topic: PetPoems

Loyalty, unconditional
Floor to lounge, positional
Silent calling cards - abysmal
Carpet wet spots, submissional

(Get a dog)

Bizarre antics, hilarious
Ransacked garbage, notorious
Midnight howling - cacophonous
Prince of Dogtown, eponymous

(Help the paw)

Imaginary burglars, guard doggery
Bullying the cat, clear thuggery
Stolen slippers - that’s robbery!
Puppy dog eyes, much huggery

(Count to canine)

Park visits, for poopery
Pricked ears, curiosity
Smelling everything - such snoopery!
Chasing the tail, more puffery

( Puppy love )

End of day, reclining
Scraps and milk, fine dining
Time to sleep - some whining
Pastel dreams, till morning

(Get a dog).

Haha! I love this!!! This gave me a smile big time. I love animals, especially dogs, and you captured all their dog foolery in this write! Great style you wrote it with too, and of course I love the pic: )

You are a very remarkable and creavtive writer Spike. It's most enjoyable and most pleasant to read such brilliantly penned masterpieces by you. Whatever you write about u always capture the subject so well.
I loved this poem it was cute, witty and the pic tops it off. Dogs are intelligent and they make awesome pets. Well done and thanks so much for a most enjoyable read.
*warm hugs*

Yup! Spike's definitely had a dog or two. You describe 'em succintly, if one doesn't have to look up too many of your mind expanding words. Dang your good!
