Take It Slow.

Topic: LovePoetry

Bursting flames
Over the horizon.
We lay on the sand,
Warm breeze floats
Across the land.
Salty water licks
Lazily at my calves.
I stare at my other half.
The fiery sunlight
Glinting in your eyes.
A smile on your face,
A kiss on the lips.
How could I have known
It would be like this?
Salty skin, rusty hearts.
We're new to this,
But it's a start.
Basking in the early light,
Exploring every night.
With your hands
Buried in my hair.
Your face buried in my neck.
I take in your scent
And soak up your caress.
Let's take it slow.
No reason to rush.
I want this to be right.
I've got a feeling about us.
