Resentment

Contributed by NoSaint on Tuesday, 27th December 2005 @ 01:08:58 PM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

Festering sores
Lodged deep within
Resentments
Unforgiving sin

Held and nourished
With evil thoughts
Moments relived
Revenge sought

Eating away
At the very soul
Slowing rotting
Taking its toll

Eroding the spirit
Torturing all
One who holds on
Takes the fall

Letting go
Harder still
Takes strength
And iron will

But if one
Can forgive
They will find
It easier to live

Nice write.

Resentment is one of the hardest things to let go of...sometimes it is too delicious to relinquish

Shari this is a poem with much meaning, and it's also very full of the truth!
The Bible says, "Rottenness to the bones, "and in the bones our blood is manufactured so evidentually it can kill you, literately!!! Very good job, with insight and truth!
Warm love
consue

Resentment is a feeling I know well...though I also identify greatly with regret...

Nice write...short and definitely to the point
