Cold And Alone

Contributed by secretwind on Tuesday, 27th December 2005 @ 05:24:54 AM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

cold and alone
all by myself
and wondering
what I should do,
no one knows
about the voices in my head
whispering to me
telling my death is due.

I've been told
I'll find a place to belong
on this lifes carousel
that spins round and round,
I feel like a ghost
that ebbs and flows and slowly fades from view...
I yell and scream
but no one hears a sound
or see me falling down.

Cold and alone
and I quietly sigh
and wonder what I should do,
now that everything is confusing to me
what do I believe....
no one knows
or cares
about the voices whispering in my mind
telling me to just fall down,
oh I'm
spinning round and round.

The poem itself may be about confusion and lonliness, yet you depicted it so well, that I don't think you are as confused as you thing.
A very well expressed piece of work!!

Well; the good news is, you're not alone. The bad news is, it feels like it...Unfortunately this type of feeling doesn't have a time limit, so no one can say when things will start to get better for you. Just try to draw comfort from the fact that things eventually will get better, and make the most out of every happy-type experience you have in the meanwhile. Write it out, lean on loved ones, hell; talk to a stranger if it helps. Concentrate on getting better, and in time you'll find you will. Take Care.

Hey S .. I realize this is an older write, and I DO hope
things are much better for you :) , but I had to comment
on how wonderfully you expressed your turmoil and
inward struggle. I know it's somehow mind-trapping
at times, but writing about it seems to bring about even
the teensiest bit of comfort, no?

There is only one constant in life .. and that is change.
This can be a comfort to know, when times become
unbearably hard. Good luck.
