walking down a lonesome highway
driftin' aimlessly trough the day
i've lived in bars and i'm know in prison
all in the name of this outlaw livin'
my mother says she'll disown me
and the man in black is trying to stone me
i've hurt everyone that i've known
and i miss the chances that i've blown
i've never tried to be a lawfull man
theirs things in that law i just don't understand
they tried to take my freedom and pride
leaving me to run and hide
now im rollin down a dead end track
runnin from that man in black
i keep going from town to town
a rambling man never settling down
so tell my mother im sorry again
but i won't play if i can't win
i've enjoyed outlaw livin' and wearing this brand
but it looks like they've gotten the upper hand
and as we all reap what we've sown
i know for sure i'll be dying alone
for this outlaw livin' there is no cure
i guess they know im an outlaw for sure

I can only hope for your sake this is just a poem. Only bad comes from this type of life. I have a son who has lived like this and only bad has come of it. The refusal to live within societal rules is a sure quick slide to hell. I am not a religious person, but I am a spiritual one. The great Father did not write the 10 rules of living in silly putty, they were written in stone for a reason. His will is stronger than ours and his rules are not to be broken. How sad my son's life is and I see the broken hearts of my grandsons and the loss they feel. Well written, just a sad sore subject in my world.
