You can try to hurt me, I felt this all before
It may hurt a little, but it's pain I must ignore
You can hurt my being, beat me like a drum
Not my soul, however, for it's completely numb
My soul lay dormant, deep within my being
Let me put it this way, my soul you won't be seeing
Deep inside HIS temple, behind a lock and key
Though it's not a prisoner, it wished to not be free
Behind this door, you see, it cannot feel a thing
Shouting sanctuary beneath the angel's wing
So sick of pain my soul's run into hiding
Deep within HIS temple is where my soul's residing
Forever numb to my greatest foe
Feeling nothing from head to toe
I fear no pain because wounds can heal
My heart is not out for some one to steal
Forget your theories and your "greater" face
Forever gone, you lack a trace...
