When Summer days have passed away,
and the trees are winter bare.
We will think of things away,
and wish we were there.
When Summer's sun has set,
and Winter's winds are cold.
We will think of think of things we met,
and some that are old.
When Summer lifes are fadeing fast,
and Winter come to us.
We will think of the past,
and those that left us.

...the leavings are such melancholly times...you captured the wistfulness of the emotion for me...I found myself rereading it several times before I knew I was rereading it...it took me somewhere...not sure where it was, but it was nice...
