Winters frigid edge is just around bend
The warmth of summer and colors end
But deep under the snowy cover
You will much new life discover
Such is my soul now at this place
Where the past must I erase
And let it lie within deep
Give my heart time to sleep
So once more come the spring
My spirit again will sing
And the rose will bloom in radiance
And my soul will once more dance
For now comes my own winter’s frost
And to my heart oh what a cost
But I know once more I will fly
As the birds in the summers sky
