Big Bear

Contributed by StoneAngel on Friday, 23rd December 2005 @ 12:34:21 PM in AEST
Topic: toughstuff

Big Bear is what I call ya
'Cause the name suites ya
Whenever I look at ya
You remind me of a big bear
Your tall and strong
I'm sure you can kick my ass
But I know you would never
Hurt a women or a child

You save your toughness
For the real world
For all those bad people
You say you have to be
Otherwise they'd eat you up

You say you have a rep to uphold
That you don't like the scene anymore
So why don''t you leave
I know you can't
you all ready told me
You're addicted

You show me your real self
I'm refreshing to you
You say, you don't have to put up a front
Why are you still scared then
to show me how you feel
You tell me all the time but don't
you know?

I don't really like what you do
but I know its a tough world
And you have to be as mean
as you are, as long as
your not mean with me

I'm not another job
I'm not another stranger
I'm not one of those
that you can bully and intimidate

Please for me, will you leave
Please for me, will you stop this insanity
Please for me, will you walk away
Please for me, will you protect me

You're getting to old
For the stuff you do
And I don''t like it
I know what you do
I have suspisions
But you are my Big Bear
And I trust what you
Have shown me
And I do not judge

BUT PLEASE LEAVE
THE LIFE YOU LIVE NOW
Get a tiny nook somewhere
And settle down

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
