You’ve Given Me Everything

Contributed by MG_Akela22090 on Friday, 23rd December 2005 @ 10:17:54 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

All these years I’ve been staring in a mirror looking for something to bring me nearer but every time I reached out everyone got further away, everything got dim and gray. And now in these days I wonder why I don’t have to search anymore. I wonder why things have gotten so much better…
It’s because I love you. It’s because I need you. It’s because you made all the pain go away and I know I can come to you when times are as bad as those days. It’s like I’m living another life, it’s like… I have a future again when I never did.
I feel your lips on mine and I want to cry. I feel your hands on my waist and I know I’m safe. I hear your voice and I’m not alone anymore. When you’re next to me I feel like I’m standing tall and not so small and inconvenient.
I never knew. I never saw it. When the silver wolf with the mood-stone eyes came calling, I never saw it. I walked away. I never knew that it was you telling me that one day I would be saved. I never knew, but now I do and I’m not looking in the mirror trying to make things clearer, because they’re as clear as ever.
I’m not hunting for a way, I’ve found it. I’m not searching for a meaning because I already have one. You make my life worth living you make it so much better.
I look outside and the snow doesn’t always make me cold because I think about you and wearing your jacket. I think about how you give everything to make me happy.
I think about us in our coats up in the loft talking about doing stuff; I love the lust in your eyes and I want to cry because I love you so much and how I just want to be yours and I want you to be mine.
I love how you hold me. I love how kiss me and how I stop breathing cause I just want you so much. And I think about how I want to make you’re pain disappear when you think about things you’ve lost in the years. I want to do everything you do for me. I want to make this perfect. I want to make it all for you and me.
When I’m sitting here listening to music or watching TV all I think about is you next to me and your breath on my neck and your eyes sparking with some hidden secret. I just think about you and the world vanishes and I’m happy again.
There might be rough times, but we’ll get through them. I promise I’ll never leave you. I promise on my own life I’ll try never to hurt you. You’ve done so many good things for me; it’s my turn to do the same.
I’ll be there for you, through thick and thin. I’ll never leave, I’ll be waiting. And when we have our own house, our own life and children I’ll be thinking about how I love you so much cause you gave me all that from when I had nothing.
And I’m going to be thinking back to all those good times we had and be crying because I’m so happy that you gave me all that to remember.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
