What is love?

Contributed by writersblock101 on Thursday, 22nd December 2005 @ 10:37:27 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

What is love to you?
is it a sweet kiss in the rain?
is it the look you give your parents when they do something incredibly amazing but don't even know it?
is it when your best friend tells your secret but your still her friend any ways?
is it the hug of someone who has been away?
is it the touch of someone's fingers caressing your skin?
is it that last step you take before your in that special somebody's arms?
is it the feeling that you truly do belong?
is it the smile from a friend who you haven't seen in a while?
is it the smell of your favorite food after a long, hard day?
is it the light that comes to their face when they open the present you gave them?
is it when a mother puts the hideously ugly artwork of her children all around the house?
is it that simple phrase "I love you" whispered in your ear?
What is love to you?

You know what love is to me... it's a woman, a woman who wouldn't hesitate to make me a sandwich.

Thanks for sharing, it's nice being able to respond.
