Time Machine

If I had a time machine
I would go back in time,
to the one that I went to fast for
the one that I thought was for life…
to when we first met and tell myself that to take it slow
Like the old Peabody cartoon
and his "Way Back Machine"…
But I guess my heart wanted hers so bad,
I guess I couldn't see that
I was pushing her so hard.
Just wanted to make her happy,
wanted her to see how well
she could be treated
but I don't know where I went wrong,
although I know what I did incorrect
in I treated her heart like it was mine,
I do that sometimes…
But I think the reason I did that
was because I thought we was meant to be together
meant to show each other true love…
meant to be in our lives together
I know some day that may still happen
but who knows where our hearts will be then?
Who knows how you or I will feel about each other?
Will I still cherish you? Yes, nothing ever will change that,
Will I still love you? Yes, I will always love you?
It wont be easy to leave your heart behind,
But I guess I will have too………………
Because I know what we did was wrong,
We went way to fast… I wish that I could change that
but I can't change history or the past.
I will just tell myself to take it slower the next time!
That's what I planned to do with her heart,
But I didn't… and I'm regretting it now…
That I could have been a little slower,
on her heart, not went so fast.
But I do know this…
I will always call you by
your beautiful name
My beautiful Blue-Eyed Angel!
