You've Become ...

Contributed by ohsaige on Thursday, 22nd December 2005 @ 09:16:26 AM in AEST
Topic: FamilyPoems

Few if any would have stuck around
Running off without a fight
You're the one saying "Bring It On"
And take it all in stride.

For us you are never short
Always having time to share
You catch our tears and hold them tight
Sprinkling love on every drop

You cry with us and for us
A hug when we need them most
The light when times are most dark
The hand to pick us up when we fall

The pillow that softens the pain
When our hearts begin to ache
The one that asks about times before
So our memories never fade

You are the strength when we feel weak
You are the map when we wander lost
You are the explanation when we fail to understand
You are the guidance when we error

Trusted friend and confidant
The first to ask about our day
A stern voice when we push the line
A smile that gives sunshine to the day

I could carry on forever
So much in our hearts to say
There is one sentence to sum it up
You've become the mom we lost

Merry Christmas ..

MOM ...

Love,
Saige and that brother of mine (LOL)
