COLD CLEAR BLUE, THIS IS GOODBYE,
SITTIN SO PRETTY WITH THE DAWN OF A CITY,
LAY AND STAY A MIRROR FOR THE SKY.
BIG STONE GRAY SLEEPS WITH THE SKY,
IT'S TIME FOR ME TO BE STEALING AWAY,
DON'T LET THEM LET YOU FALL FROM GRACE
AND WHEN YOU SPEAK WITH THE ONE WHO SENT YOU,
TELL HIM, LET HIM KNOW,
WHEN ITS COLD AND CONFUSING
I FEEL LIKE I'M LOSING MY SOUL
SO SANDMAN, GIVE ME YOUR HAND,
AND DON'T SLIP THROUGH MY FINGERS, LIKE AN HOURGLASS,
WITH ALL THE THINGS THAT WE HAD PLANNED
NOW LET ME SLEEP WITH THE MOON,
GOOD TIMES GONE BY LEAVE A FIRE IN MY EYE,
LAMENTING WHAT WENT OH SO SOON,
AND WHEN YOU SPEAK WITH THE ONE WHO SENT YOU
TELL HER, LET HER KNOW
THE SIGN OF THE SEASONS THE REASON WHY I LOVED IT ALL
