No matter how hard I try
the shame in my eyes
brings fear to yours.
The passion in my heart
leads me to trip and stumble.
My fault leads me to wonder?
Will you be there to pick me up,
or will I have to be strong on my own?
Will you kiss my wounds
and hold me until the shaking stops?
My feelings are of passion
and yours are of lust.
Isn't there a way
to make you feel the same?
Do I have to nail myself
to a cross so that you will
worship me?
Your sins are forgiven
just let me in,
just let me have one more
kiss.

Strong line here:
"Do I have to nail myself
to a cross so that you will
worship me?"
How many times have I tried that and still nothing happens. I connect with this. Thanks for sharing.
