The midnight street is calling me
I can’t take being with you
Like the caged bird I long to be free
I tried to be civil with you
But teeth grind when you’re locked inside
Blows were traded
And the Lord knows I have cried
At the end of it all
It was just too much to take on
What does it matter now?
We can never be one
I have finally had enough
I am stepping out from this storm
The cold night thrills my blood
It’s like being born
The scales have fallen away no more delusions
The wind is my map
Love or hate
I just can’t deal with all that
I going to walk in till the blood sun rises
To much repetition in this old game
I’m ready for some surprises
I’m going all the way
In till it all burns away
And I can start fresh and new
Don’t ask me I don’t know
Maybe this will be better for you to
Sometimes
Something’s
Are just too much for a man to bear anymore
I don’t know what to say to you
So wrote you this and blue tacked it to your door
By the break of day I will be gone
Will you be glad I don’t know
That’s why I’m moving on

I like it. Reminds me of the way I used to write. Meaningfully reminds that we guys have feelings too. |
