Robbed of trust and faith
You lie in a heap on the ground
She has filled your mind with hate
As your tears fall without a sound
Lost to the hands i reach out with
You remain where she pulled the rug from under your feet
Trying in vain i grab at your heart
Where the stabs she made still bleed
Endlessly you try to heal
As the world continues to spin
I share the anguish you feel
We won't let this darkness win
I'll pick up the pieces that you throw away
Ignoring the knife you placed in my back
Uncontrollable urges fill your day
Consumed only by what you lack
I will wait for your sun to return
But as mine sets behind another man
I will continue to burn
Always the light to which you ran
