she's a high tone woman this i know for sure
she's leaving with my heart but that's the only cure
she's broken many hearts mine won't be the last
if you let her steel yours she'll put it in a cast
her love was a train with a never ending track
once you hitched a ride there was no looking back
if you wanna save some tears take some advice from me
lay off of that good lovin and let that high tone woman be

Excellent poem! I have been dragged down that "never ending track" a few times myself. The train/track metaphor is powerful and appropriate!

amen to that! I had a friend who was just this way high tone and then some. Boy did you bring back memories with this write.
I agree the train track was rich and colorful and made the poem that much better

You made me remind bad memories, but those made me stronger.
Thanks for writing this.
This are my fav. parts.
she's broken many hearts mine won't be the last
once you hitched a ride there was no looking back
I like all the message of all it, and the advice at the End. |
