Seventeen

Contributed by Ada on Monday, 19th December 2005 @ 06:04:22 AM in AEST
Topic: anguished

I rest on the ground beneath the starless sky, tender rain masks my tears
Left is the cold breeze to accompany me in my solitude
I hear my shallow breathing, there’s great depth of melancholy
Rain angrily descends from the dark seas that rest above
For I am miles from the one man who feels my being
Time has not been kind, I’m slowly losing my life
Pain, rage, and love fuse to drown me in questions
How can fate be so cruel to this heart?
He saw me beyond what I revealed
Existence became a new word
But fate still brought us apart
The azure clears from ash
A love yet to prove
Only for now
Here I’ll lay
Alone
Dead

there were many ways you could have done this, but your creativity revealed a different style. It is very unique! I enjoyed reading this!

Well done.

This is great and I know I read it before...and don't know why I did not comment at that time.

Love the emotion, love the concept, and love the way the lines decrease like that! Brilliant!
