A veil of darkness had covered my soul
For so long...so long
For the beacon hadn't found me
Nor did I seek it out
The morning sun couldn't penetrate
But the moon would reveal it to me
And in my dreams I would tremble
And the veil would grow...would grow
As a man, I was corrupt
Thoughts would fill my head
To tumble and deceive
That this was the path
I became a fool to myself
Didn't understand regret
The lives I had shaken
The lies I had lived
Is the beacon out there
To shine the way...to see
Or is this veil of darkness
All that's left of me
