The Beast

Contributed by lifeslittleangel on Saturday, 17th December 2005 @ 02:38:11 PM in AEST
Topic: LoveRemembered

It sucked me in and spat me out
The pain was unbearable I began to shout
A figure in the mist responded to my plee
All was visible but the face I couldn't see
The stanger, now closer, had the same beast inside
Realizing this, I ran quickly to hide
This stranger claimed to bring me no pain
The beast I had seen, was said to be slain
The same monster grabbed me, the voice told a lie
My fate is inevitable, despite how I try
The steps that kill, kill me repeat
It's beastly methods remain descrete
Sucking me in without movement or sound
Spitting me out, I just lay on the ground
I saw little reason to keep up this fight
So I kept to the dirt with eyes shut tight
The beast just turned and walked away
Then jumped to the sky, into a new day
That moment I discovered, as the beast soared above
This thing was no monster, it was only love
I had defeated a human emotion
Not truly vanquished, but fought with devotion
