CHRISTMAS CHEER

Christmas presents under the trees, Children waiting anxiously.
To see what they get on Christmas Eve, They are so excited and can't hide the feeling.
Mommy's are baking cookies, And tons of wonderful treats.
While Daddy's are hanging Christmas lights, To light up the streets.
Children are shaking presents, Tyring to guess what they might be.
While others are singing, Christmas Melodies.
But someone has to look at their children, With eyes full of tears.
Because Mommy and Daddy, Can not afford a Christmas this year.
But this is the time for giving, So let's do what we can.
To spread the love and joy, and lend a helping hand.
Put yourself in their shoes, Wouldn't you feel bad?
So why don't we make it, The best Christmas they ever had?
My one and only Christmas wish this year.
Is that everyone's Christmas, Is filled with love and cheer.
Merry Christmas to all, And God bless.
May this Christmas, Be one of the best.

OK so you beat me to it. You got this out pretty quick. I'm one of those mums that bakes so I have only just submitted my poem. This is a nice little Christmas poem you have written here Justin. It is always important to remember those less fortunate that ourselves, whatever time of year it is.
