There lives a girl at the bottom of the hill
by the railroad tracks
Who's family gets food from the pantry
in old paper sacks
Her daddy spends most of his time workin'
on old junk cars
Any other time he can be found gambling
in those redneck bars
Her momma sells "antiques" from a stand
in the corner of the yard
The rest of their money comes in the form of
a welfare card
I wouldn't be the one to call her sister a whore
but she has three kids of her own
And at the age of eighteen she
she's only half grown
Brothers' been to jail going on
thirteen times
guess he never learned his lesson
about commiting crimes
They all get drunk and the men stay
mean
When they get to fighting it's like nothing
you've ever seen
The dogs stay chained up outside
to an old oak tree
Never really knowing what it means
to be free
She'll be leaving home some day to
follow her dream
And she'll make it real big if it's easier
than they make it seem
But for now she's low on hope and
low on cash
Her one and only prayer is that the Lord hasn't forgotten
about poor white trash

Very sad indeed. If it's that bad someone should get the minors out of there. Obviously this has touched u in a big way. Try to get some help for the minors. it may soucd harsh but the under age children haven't been given a choice.
Awesome write even tho it's sad. it comes at a good time that you write this 'cause at least the fortunate will be rmimded the real reason for Christmas.
Bless u for writing this.
luv, huggs, prayer,
emy
