Decembers Chill

Contributed by Gothchyk on Thursday, 15th December 2005 @ 11:05:00 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

The moon shines down upon my bed
casting a silver lining around our love
Fear, shame and doubt have all but disappeared
in this strengthening silence called light
Ribbons curl and paper covers
things that aren't to be seen
But soon the ribbons will be cut
and the paper will unveil
the splendid things unknown
For Decembers chill brings with it warmth and trust
As well as the sparkling snow
tinted silver in the moonlight
that's reflected in your eyes
as you look down lovingly at me
The fire crackles and birds begin to sing
yet we take no heed to the coming day
For the icy wind and swaying trees
give us a reason to stay wrapped in blankets tight
and little other care hath we....
