Give me a reason to not care.
Not to care about what you think,
About what you think of me.
I'm never gonna be who you want me to.
I'm never gonna be what you want me to.
I could just sit here and wait patiently. . .
but that wouldn't be me.
You've given me these shoes expecting
me to fill them.
You've given me lots of choices
hoping for me to refuse them.
But if there is one thing I know,
one thing I've learned,
one thing you should know too, is
only I can buy my own shoes,
filling them more perfectly then you.

This write emanated confidence and determination. You are clearly stating your independence, and reluctance to be held back, by anybody. Your resolve to attain personal goals, and prove those who doubted you wrong, and above all prove to yourself that you are strong, are all evident. However, you should take heed in turning this into a competition, for that defeats the entire purpose.
