I hear you breathe
Feel your heart beat
And you don’t know
What you have given me
But I know
What I’ve received
The sweetest gift
To lay just like this
To be close enough
To touch you
To be allowed
To share this dream
And I could live
A thousand lifetimes
Use every word
I’ve yet to say
Still, in my mind
I doubt I’ll find
There’d come a day
I could convey
The many ways
You move me
With the little
Things you do
So know the tears you dry
Falling from my eyes
They’re just victims
Of the truth

Love the title, and furthermore, what it comes to mean at the end...I'm so happy for you and Shannon, Nazzy. That's wonderful that the two of you have found happiness. This is a lovely dedicated piece, and I'm sure she loved it.

What can I say?
Perfection. And you know it.
More when my brain decides to function properly again. (Curse you and your breath-stealin', word snatchin' ways!!) ^.^ All my love.
Always,
Tu flor y amiga,
Stephy. |

Well, gracious. Yes ... a beautifully penned piece, Scotty.
So soft and subtle, yet powerfully emotive and enchanting.
In a word, flawless.

(sidebar to Jecks ~ yes, snuggly is a word! lol) |

This reminds me of a song;
"As sure as there's a heaven up above me
of you i know I'll never be free
As sure as there are stars above I know (I know ) You were made for me"
Quote from "You were made for me" by Sam Cooke.

Naz, My day to try and catch up I guess. Interesting how feelings and body language are the only form of expression that never lies. Yet, they are t he most misinterpreted. What's in our hearts is the truth, and in this poem a deep expression of love.
Very intimate sharing, well done

This is simply stated a perfect romantic piece. The opening stanza builds up an enormous heart felt placement. Your words here are simple and wisely chosen, evoking emotion that makes me miss love. Victims of the truth, what an amazing metaphor.
Excellent job as always!
