Finding Home

Contributed by Gracen2260 on Wednesday, 14th December 2005 @ 09:23:36 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

They say home is where your heart is
but if your searching for heart
then you must not be at home
just in the dark and so alone

Home isnt a place its a state of mind
when your confused and so lost
home is a hard place to find.

Ive searched for many years
just tryin to find my way
lookin for answers but finding none today

Wishing upon the brightest of stars
battling your every thought
trying to figure out who you really are.

Home is where the heart is
but the heart is unceratain
its confused and unstable
never give up hope on finding your home
dont give up searching cause youll be all alone
I want to find my own way before my best days are gone

...a very nice job of infusing words with spirit...it is an age old topic...one I wrote a lot about when I was a teenager and young adult and middle aged adult and much older middle aged adult...(I'm not old yet)...I have finally found my "Home..."...and to my shock, the old sages were right, it was me...however, knowing it exists and tirelessly pursuing it doesn't shorten the searching for it journey...seems you have to discover it in just the right way or it's just a bunch of empty words...that's the way it was for me, anyway...

...it was a good rendition of a timeless topic...
