Everyday I ring her, Everyday I take that leap,
To place my heart a fire and to throw it to the street.
Her pain I feel as if my own, it's tied within a knot,
I'd suffer Dante's version of and willingly be caught.
If I could gaze right through her eyes, deep into her pain,
I wonder if she'd see my heart instead of just my blame.
If I could take it all away, to distance far and long,
to release her mental prison bars, their going going gone.
No matter the price they'd ask to bare, no matter the sacrafice,
I would take it all upon myself without ever thinking twice.
What is it that you ask of me? My soul upon your knife?
to return to her that what I took, a joyous happy life?
I am pleading with you stars above, here my anguished cry,
deliver this deepened sorrow that is buried black inside.
Return to her that smile that sparkled for a start,
and take away the memory of, that boy that broke her heart.
You've heard it told I'm sure it's true, "the one that got away"?,
Perhaps you've felt the very sting of which I speak today.
For me there is no question, you may ask it without fear,
Her name is whispered nightly as it swims within my tears.
From the depth of my ancestors and all I have inside,
To reach down from heaven and heal the wounds of pride.
And allow the world to feel her touch again upon it's smile,
The magic of her spirit born, to release our inner child.

Wow, this is really beautiful. I think you have spelling error though in the first line of the fourth stanza. Should it read - "hear my anguished cry"? Other than that this is a very well written poem. Great rhythm and the rhyme scheme works. The emotion comes through clearly. Excellent.
