Man, and God's Contribution

Contributed by Lionel on Tuesday, 13th December 2005 @ 04:52:02 PM in AEST
Topic: ChristianPoetry

A little boy acts cruelly to one playmate or another.
A little girl speaks harshly to a sister or brother.
They mimmic things seen to the third generation;
The pattern established from onset of creation.

They learned it from their parents,
or another, who learned it too,
from parents of his own raising;
that's just what children do.

This way the curse is conveyed to plague humanity still:
A plague only allayed, by Christ, at the Father's will.
Salvation was accomplished with righteousness held intact.
God's Son, the perfect child, absorbed sin's horrible impact.

Lionel

Wonderful write, - the harsh truth that children cannot do better than the parents do and are bound to imitate them.
Only HE can overcome the terrible impact, the perfect child and perfect man, and has the power to blot out and absorb the horrible impact of sin.
Inspring and wonderful write Lionel.

Blessed Christmas!
Elizabeth

...indeed...the whole thing seems insanely irrational to this finite creature...but, I just totally melt when They smile at me...

...Truth, very nicely packaged...

This really brings to the front of my mind exactly what Christ did for us and that we should be forever in His debt.

It's a shame that in this day and age,

( with a moral and religious decline)

that youger children arn't taught as much as previous generations of the sacrifice Christ made for us.

Very interesting write....it is true that our first influences are our parents, and we pick up many of our good and bad traits and habits from them....Sadly, most children from abusive households will one day beat their spouse. A depressing truth very well articulated in this piece.....kudos.
