So here we are, standing around a 4x7, 6 ft. deep hole in the ground.
Circled around your coffin.
Your mother's rose , lying on the top collects dewdrops as it rains.
Your father is the first to throw a handful
of dirt over you.
And your little brother, who still doesn't
understand, tosses the picture he drew for
you into the grave wondering "Who's going to
play basketball with me?"
Your mother breaks down, uncontrollable sobs
recking her body...
forcing her to kneel.
Everyone cries now; pleading for god to watch
over you and forgive your soul.
I stand there, looking down on you, thinking
to myself "Coward"
What were you thinking?
When you pulled that trigger.
Was the pain that bad?
You're a coward.
You didn't have to do it you know
we move on, why couldn't you?
We all saw him die, we all heard his scrams,
we were there.
We were all stupid, but we moved on.
Now you've brought the pain back.
Now we must live with your death
you suicide.
You brought back the tears, the silence,
the sleepless nights.
Only you're not the on who's going to have to
experience all this because you're
dead.
How do you think you mother felt,
walking into her son's room to find him
dead, nearly decapitated.
What about your father, who go the call
at work having to hear about his child"s
death from a stranger because his wife
passed out from the sorrow.
And your brother , who's idolized you
since he was born, how did he react
when he found out that the red stuff
dripping from the ceiling was blood and
not cherry cool-aid.
You did this. All of this..
This is all happening because of your
selfishness, your thoughtlessness.
As they pile the dirt over you , the pile it
on our hearts as well,
They bury a future NBA superstar , a future
president, future uncle and father.
They bury you.
Now everyone leaves, everyone but me.
I stand there, looking at the fresh we soil;
wondering.
Wondering how ill deal, how I'll cope with
this new raw pain.
Wondering how I'm going to move on.
But move on I shall, I will get past this.
Because that is what i must do.
I will not sacrifice my life to the pain or
the sorrow.
I will not join you under the surface;
I'm not ready yet.
I walk away, turning my back you like
you did on us.
Out of the cemetery, past the school, past
your house, past everything.
I don't look back.
I've moved on

This part got me a little teary eyed i admit.
This poem is filled with so much emotion, at first theres sadness but then an uncontrollable anger, that i am sure not many feel. This is a strong write, thanx for sharing
