Hope of One

Contributed by NoSaint on Monday, 12th December 2005 @ 10:47:31 AM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

The silence of the desert
Solitude complete
Dust blows in warm winds
Night chills internally

Lone wolf from ledge
Calls to the moon
Her song heard
By the universe

Stars sparkle
Water springs from earth
Grass begins to grow
Her plea answered

An oasis is born
In a stark world
New life springs
From hope of one

This is marvelous Shari, I too lived in the Desert some years back. I remember the solitude, and the lizards that crawled into my glass sliding door. I loved your Title.....Hope of one, and then to use the Lone Wolf was so appropriate.........they cry sometimes all night....I used to wonder if their prayers were ever heard, or if the moon turned out it's light before their hope could be heard!
Lovely
Shari, just lovely
Warm love
