The Middle

Contributed by Corruptor on Friday, 24th January 2003 @ 12:40:00 PM in AEST
Topic: fantasy

Draped in black and red
The warrior turns his head
And to his right he casts his stare
As he hovers in the air.

His eyes are clear,
His body is ready.
The sword he holds dear
Now points ahead, steady.

A mist has appeared
And in the opaque white,
His enemies have neared,
But this time he’ll stay to fight.

A blur of black and red,
As the warrior turns his head
And to darkness casts a last glance
As the sword begins to dance.

To tell you the truth, I'm not a big fan of fantasy. This poem was my attempt to describe a recuring dream I keep having. I'm glad you like the poem. :-)
