just last year i found a beach on a sleeping charlotte street
she was the kind of girl with waves of warmth that could knock you off your feet
she had a smile that was like the sun on the coast
but it was her cold heart i remember the most
she knew she was mean but didn't realy care
as beautiful as she was i was too afraid to stare
first the sky above her was beautiful now it's no longer starlit
and no body believes that i drowned in some beach in charlotte
