My chocolate's my bread and my meat
but my chocolate is bitter-sweet
sometimes it can get me goin
while at times it can make me weep
leave its darkness in me
dark chocolate's the only kind that I keep
it burns while I yearn to give up the very darkness that's swet
they say, "the blacker the berry the sweeter the juice"
but I say "the darker the chocolate the blacker te bruise"
that it leaves you, for there's a bitterness that comes
with the sweet, too
but my insatiable sweet-tooth keeps begging for more
begging for pain and begging for war
hot blood satisfies more than cold words
some say that love's for the birds
but I say love is for fools that carry swords
for love's not a game it's war
and dark chocolate is its heaviest sword
there's no protection or ward
from the candy that bites back even more
you want misery, I'll give you a tour
that'll make you think twice about what you're craving for
If you want sweets, don't eat dark chocolate
but if it's a burn that you yearn for, noting can top it.
