Sorry

Contributed by brokenwings on Thursday, 8th December 2005 @ 03:54:04 AM in AEST
Topic: FriendshipPoetry

the days and the time just tick on by,
the words that were said were harsh but true,
and the one who i mad cry
I'm sorry it was you..

The arms in which you lay at night
how i'd kill for love that meant so much.
the child you caress in your arms
is something to be kept safe from all harms..

But I have said my words,
i am sorry they hurt you,
but what about the pain you cause,
and all the hurt you dish out..

you put me down, and laughed right in my face
lied to me, and made me feel like i was nothing
now i'm expected to say i'm sorry for my words
that were so honest... and so true,

If your married you need not lie down with another man
sorry but i'm not your biggest fan..
How i'd give my last breath to have just one ounce of what you have
why would i sit back and watch you throw it all away????

Will i say i'm sorry for what I said... NO
i will say that i am sorry for you,
i am sorry your feelings were hurt but
i'm not a bit sorry for what i said

You shouldn't have to say sorry for saying the truth. She should be grateful to have a friend like u. You've stuck by her regardless of what she's done. That says alot. Friends like u are rare to find. If I were her I would hang on to u forever. I wish u all the best.
*hugs*

The hardest things for people to hear are the things that are the truth. No one wants to believe that what they are doing is wrong. You were being a great friend by saying something. Dont be sorry for trying to show her that. And now you have to let her know that you are still there for her no matter what.
Hope things work out.
