See that tree
The tall one, with branches out wide
What a good place to hang out
With a stiff drink, and rope
You know I can’t help the feelings of despair
Feeling the way I do
Failure since childhood helps
Build it up you know
Now it’s kinda like the Great Wall
Of China, only in my head
See that cliff
The steep one, with rocks
All jagged below
What a good place to go swimming
With a good flying leap
So alone, but is it really all
My fault?
I try, I try, I try
I really do, honest guv!
“Why don’t you make some effort!”
You say
Yeah, yeah, that’s all well and good
But if you were me you’d know
There isn’t any point, anymore, anyway
Feeling sorry for myself, I know
Isn’t any good
But at least I’m
The only one who feels anything at all to me

| Been there, thought that, know the feeling. Someone wants to take your joy away and make you think all these things. Don't want you to be happy. keep you at the pity party I call it.. Invite others to come along.. Easy to want others to listen. makes you feel better. but the best thing to do is.. forget. You can't change what happened yesterday. You can just pick yourself up, dust yourself off and try again. then tomorrow you do it again.. I loved your poem because I pictured it all and felt the words.. thanks. I am a christian.. God don't want you to dwell on the past. lean on him and he will take you into a brighter future if you let him.. The devil now wants you to keep remembering and comdemn you... who will you listen to... like I said.. been there.. done that.. |

Stay strong and keep writing... it really is the best
therapy. The poem is exactly what's inside the soul,

| Been there also, Keep strong.. as hard as it is to believe eventually things do get better in time.. Im not sure what your circumstances and as hard as this is to believe whatever is your source of pain, it isnt the end of the world, everything can be fixed.. |
