Final fall

In a harsh, gloomy wood of dismay
you cut down my heart like a three
and walked away.
Now it’s lying there,
still able to feel,
ready to endure,
but unable to believe.
You left me useless
like a playground on a rainy day,
like a child without a toy;
I’m a picture of loud desperation
and quiet joy.
Like a Snow Queen
that’s no longer cold
tamed by a mortal
with a touch of warmth.
Don’t try to redeem
what’s done is done
painful but quick
sweet death will come.
Be proud of what you got,
this fallen three is entirely yours,
even most deeply rooted
finely fall for a just cause.
