O' Peace

When the first beam of sunlight kissed the surface of the Earth
Sprouted a bush of Olive and nature witnessed dove's birth.
Your presence gave us many a moments to cherish
But like a bubble in the air, where did you perish?
O' Peace! Where do you exist, where have you furled your wings?
Neither in the huts of the poor, nor in the palace of Kings.
Eyes search for a place where you have shed your leaves
Yet, remains a distant pedestrian- peace!
The rain of terror feeds the 'ocean of tears',
The world has been overshadowed by the 'cloud of fears'.
O' Peace! Pierce through these clouds and smile
Re-establish happiness which seems to have left to an eternal exile.
In this desolate desert, you are the oasis of relief.
In this ever threatening environment, you are our last belief.
O' Peace By your longed presence- bless,
Soothe by your calm existence our late distress.
O' Men! Lets unite and build a global city
Where everyone lives in peace, harmony and tranquility.
Lets carry this message across the seven seas
"We don't want wars, we want HARMONY and PEACE."
