I wish I could

Contributed by rabzee on Saturday, 3rd December 2005 @ 05:22:51 AM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

I could never tell you of the pain, that I feel in my heart,

of hurting you as I did and tearing our friendship apart

I could never tell you of my prayers to God, every night before I sleep,

to forgive me for the pain I’ve caused and for your safety to keep

I could never bring myself to talk to you , the fear grips my soul,

of scornful words and an evil frown, enough to kill me whole

So I could never again ever say, “I love you”,

cause my heart will die if you never again say “I love you too”

Every time I look into the sky, it is your beauty that I find,

I could never seem to get you out of my mind

And when I think about you, I always hope that you are ok,

I could never stop caring about you, anytime: night or day

All I feel for you is real, but I must forever lock it away,

I could never feel right to push you or hurt you in any way

Cause my heart would die if you never again say, “I love you too”

That’s why I could never again ever say, “I love you”,
