my desperation
comes to me in poems
ghastly images
with no sign of remorse.
fake people with fake problems
pleasure in my delight
only one is to be known
as I cry alone at night.
scratching until I can find
an escape for the sorrow
but i don't find anything today
so maybe I will tomorrow.
lying in a pool of shame
they watch for me to drown
"dont forget who I am," I say to you
I will always wear your crown

This was so sad. My heart broke as I read this
'lying in a pool of shame
they watch for me to drown'
Those 2 lines almost made me cry. This was such a great short poem. Thnx for posting this.
