Your smile always touched your eyes,
Your laugh always rang true,
Your grades were always high,
And I remember how happy I thought you were.
But then I saw inside your world,
Darkness camouflaged with rainbows,
You barely ever smiled there,
And your laugh was unrecognizable.
Your shirts always covered your wrists,
Your arms, they never showed,
Your eyes were always watered down,
And they never saw a thing.
You cried into my arms,
Your soul outpoured into my heart,
I saw in you a soulmate,
And you saw one too.
Your arms, they started to heal,
Your rainbows penetrated your darkness,
Your smile was actually true,
And you were mine.
We found a house,
It's not that far away, I swear,
We'll stil talk everyday,
And you'll always know that I love you.
You haven't called in weeks,
Your phone it just keeps ringing,
You've disappeared again,
And I can't seem to find you.
Pictures of you come to me in an email,
They're deeper,
They're harder,
And you still keep digging into them.
You're not getting better,
You never talk,
You're lost and connot be found,
And I know it's all my fault.
