Fuse is burning

Topic: political

Sometimes I Just feel so disgusted,
I wonder what kind of impression I leave, if I can be trusted.
I wanna talk about eternity, soul and the fire,
But most everybody don’t want to listen, their so uninspired.

Hey you! Don’t you worry, how long do you think you can laugh at it,
Is everybody blind or am I just hypersensitive.

The holy bible talks about love, love that endures to today.
Take a look at the front though and you’ll see the flame.
Kings are killers, adulterers and hypocrites, who run on greed,
Look around you see history repeat it self, call it a bad seed.

Genocide and bigotry.
They say ‘The Bible speaks to me’.
They read about Holy wars and dictator’s pride,
Forget what Jesus died for.

See them bombing foreign soil,
Wars over the price of oil.
Democracy was a good idea in till greed got in the way.
I see an enemy, who behaves most subtly,
Straight faced at the funeral of what they profess to be.

Well if you walk the way of pride, better not be surprised,
When God isn’t impressed and expects some answers.

Cultures that stood since the dawn are fading away,
Natural order perverted ‘It’s the American way!’.
A man passed through the Cradle, a while back ,
He stuck to his guns he wouldn’t back track.

He tried to abide, just ended up with a lost cause.
Another righteous man whose dogma got in the way.

Tell me when did you lose it?
You turn that smile to tears as the situation sees fit,
Tell me Baby did you ever have it?

See you sell you soul to the coin of idolatry,
Stop yourself!
Look around are you free?
I see you absorb all the crap,
Like a sponge to a tap.

Standing at your mirror Practicing your dark sarcasm and blunt wit,
If you want what you need, first you got to turn of the brain drip.

See them masters of war in mahogany offices with their pocket lighters
Putting their heads together to pull an all nighter
Say “hey man I got a great idea to make some cash take a look at my papers”
“Bring it into the light hey your right we’ll tell the good old boys it’ll be one hell of a caper”
“Call up what’s his name and that other guy too lets have us a war”
“Yeah so what if people get killed and the liberals sore”

Smoking on them cigars “Were playing the long game that’s all”
Well Mr. Man you lay the tracks, empires rise and empires fall

I look around,
Fall to the ground,
The Bigots, The Hypocrites and The Liars sometimes get me down.
Masters of the Proposition,
Kings of Ambition.
Hanging around at the gateway blocking out the light of God.

The say they hold the keys to the kingdom, that they are the sun,
But that’s bull***** God don’t give pearls to swine,
Salvation is love and that’s for everyone.

I don’t care about economy, politics or astronomy
But it sure dose bother me see them try turn my loved ones into puppets.
And the fuse is burning
Can’t bear the load
The fuse is burning
Its gonna Explode.

Excellent, really!

I love the way the thoughts flow as if you're speaking them to me, as well as the mix between slang and erudite vocabulary.

...I only got half of it read and had to go...took me this long to have time to find it again...

...there's a lot of energy in this one...lot of truth...and you're right, whatever the fuse is connected to, it is gonna blow...so sad...

...seems it could be sung...
