The King Of Hearts

This morning I woke
To a beautiful sound it was my heart,
I heard it opening again
I was sure the key had been swept away
By a exotic ocean, on a far away bay
But sure enough I heard the sound
A thumping that was quite profound
The cage had been removed
By a stranger in the night,
Creeping rather silently
He broke it with his mite
But when I opened my eyes
There wasn’t a face,
The stranger had vanished
Not leaving a trace,
Looking closer a note could be seen,
“A heart that’s been broken can be fixed again
And sowed together by the very same threads
Have faith and you will find
A love that’s deserving
And won’t leave you behind”
