You Complete Me

Contributed by bobotheclown on Friday, 2nd December 2005 @ 01:15:58 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Poisoned by these ashes in my mouth
The only thing left of my heart
I am weeping, stained and penetrated by misery
Always fading, no joy lies within
I hang myself assisted by Hate's hand

Now these bloodied, blackened musings
Are the only thing I leave behind
My weeping eyes swiftly decay
Leaving ineffectual wounds that increase the pain
Desiring to be free, but drowning

Screaming with the Death that is me
Resignation glimmers in my cold eyes
I am lost within the memories
As my cup is filled by emptyness
The more I cry, the more I die

All I see is darkness, but I pray for the light
Strengthen my faith until it consumes me
I refuse to give up, I will not settle for second best
I will face our demons and pull the trigger
I will be everything that you want me to be
For you are my everything, you complete me,
But I need your love to fill me because

You are my oasis in the desert
You are my joy in the sadness
When I am with you pain is forgotten
You dry my tears and I cherish you
You heal the wounds and the hurt
That I thought would never be healed
My love for you does not subside
I will drown you in a thousand kisses
Te quiero para siempre Amanda

What an exciting twist! The pain and suffering is so horrible to bear in reading this poem, but in such a way to heighten my senses to enjoy it! The ending fits lovely, and the Spanish adds spice to it. Amazing work...I expect more like this?

WoW Joel It started of so sad and filled with alot of emotional pain, but the ending is magnificent. What a great twist.

You are my oasis in the desert
You are my joy in the sadness
When I am with you pain is forgotten
You dry my tears and I cherish you
You heal the wounds and the hurt
That I thought would never be healed
My love for you does not subside
I will drown you in a thousand kisses

This is rather inspiring, because reading it I see the shift from sadness to hope, brought about by the act of penning it. That's a wonderful thing to be able to do, indeed! And it's a blessing to have something to turn the mind from darkness.

Well done.

Andrew

Aww, that's sweet. Definitely a different way of writing, tying in
such love with such darkness. Definitely see the stark contrast
you achieved. Nice work again Joel.
