Bleeding Blue

Contributed by lostinmyself on Thursday, 1st December 2005 @ 06:30:51 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

I held on with both hands,
And tried to speak the words to the page,
I wondered if the ink would stain my lips,
In another murky blue

Because I knew too much of blue,
Felt it course through my veins,
Like tepid water,
Stagnant and smelling of anger.
In every word, it bled onto the page.

It made my hands ache,
I knew the heart inside had stopped its beat,
And your heart had faded like a dream,
Until there was nothing left to hold on to.

So now I think I'll take my pen,
And write again,
Because I'm letting go.

Phill, I sent you a private message and I do hope that you change your mind and not leave. You have been such an inspiration here and everything you have done has been deeply appreciated by not only myself but so many of us. It will not be the same without you.

*sniffles*

Sweet Phillygirl

I said what I needed to about you leaving in the forums ... but as for this incredible work
of art! whoa! What wondrous magnificence comes from heartache, no? God, how
poetic and emotive this one is, dearest Phil. I love your word usage. It's incredible!

I can say this with all sincerity. Damn! I wish I'd written that! Brilliant title as well. All in all,
this was talent, through and through.

In awe and deeply saddened....

*hugs you tons*

you can let go of the site philly, but never let go of your pen or what you can do with it, afterall only a few miracle writers come along every so often. a lot can be learned about you from this poem, and that makes this poem worth the reading. the fact you can write it well, also makes it a bonus to read. just remember philly, with any decision...make the right one, not the easy one.

*smiles warmly at the Irishman's Irish-editing*

I am so glad you're staying, Phyllis. And we will all see these days through, I just know it.

(((((((((((((((((((( PhillyGirl ))))))))))))))))))))

I hope you make your "trial run" a permanent stay.

Such an emotional write
In this bittersweet plight
I hope you decide to stay
For this I do solemnly pray

Many a friend you have here

So I ask that you worry not
Over a selfish rotten lot
Because the rest us get a thrill
From our beautiful girl named, Phil

Please stay, PhillyG :-)

Sincerely,

Tim
:-)
