A freedom desist
A holy ground fell
Tattered paper flows through my mind.
A father's betrayal
A mother's turned back
Tattered paper flows through my mind.
A worthy cause
For the lowliest of men
A cause that was damned from the moment it began
A worthless sentiment
My worthless voice
One that never stood a chance in the halls of your distain
A single tear
Wiped a slate clean
Until the next time cluttered ...
... A father's betrayal
A mother's turned back
Tattered paper flows through my mind
