I fight my shadow...

Can I claim my life back from the hands of despair?
The half moon smirks at me on this night
A madness of hatred for no reason I wield as my shield
The cold shoulder which has engulfed me is my robe
I have made dealings with the devil on this night
No one but he ad god heard my cries, and only Satan would listen
I’ve lost who I am within this illusion of what never was
I cannot feel warmth upon the floor where I lay
I am sick
I am twisted
I am the tempted
But I must ask my self “Am I Human?”
I who lowers his head, a shallow form of what was
I who was once strong willed, has lost will to awake
This nightmare so current amidst the dawn
Can I not learn to cope?
This is my song of melancholy
Do not weep for me, for I must weep for myself
This struggle with the demon who is me
A lesser man’s struggle against oneself
A futile battle of finding salvation
This pain that clouds my minds eye
Speak to me, tell me what to do
For my opinion is worthless, even to myself.
