Alone in the Dark

Contributed by rynbowsr4evr on Wednesday, 30th November 2005 @ 10:46:51 AM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

When you've hidden in the dark so long,
Can it be easy now to shine?
When people point, and laugh and stare,
& ask what's wrong with Your Kind.
Will you believe the hypocrites,
When they say you're an Abomination?
Can you really buy in, when the pedophile priests
Say You're what's wrong with this nation?

They hit and kick their little boy
for wearing mommie's dress.
And deny him when he's all grown up,
because he's such a mess.
The ones that are meant to love him so
never seem to be there.
He hurts, and knows that they're ashamed,
and he knows it's just not fair.

When you're born who you are
and you hide in hide dark,
know that you're not alone.
there were many in line,
ahead of your time,
who made who they were known.

So Stand up, be proud.
You're not like the rest.
Open mind and broken heart.
If you feel broken down
because no one stays around,
You're still not alone in the dark.
