Your eyes, so dark, haunting, mirror my soul
Burning images plague my mind
I remember your smile, warm gentle caress
Lying so close, secure
You were, my saving grace, as i was yours
Finally, i found peace in you
Gentle laugh, gaze, insightful mind
To share with another, i could not
I am so sorry my love i could not hold you
Take away your pain, running so very deep
Why did you not let me in
Wrap you in forever loving arms
Instead choosing the path of escape
Leaving me alone, with these scorched memories
For at night i cry, inside, alone, unheard, unknown
Searing my very core
A smile i shall never see again
Just another photograph in my album of pain
Alas i can feel your presence
When alone you are there
How I wish to hold you just one more time
Reassure my mind you are okay
We will meet again one day
When my time is up
We will be together forever
No more pain or tears
For we will be one my love
Till then shall i think of you everyday
At night whispering your name
Smiling, watching, waiting for my time
Our time
