Sweet Dreams

Contributed by lillyjane on Wednesday, 30th November 2005 @ 05:23:26 AM in AEST
Topic: MiscPoems

The stars in the sky are shining bright tonight,
sending all the world a gentle ray of light,
dont be afaid can you hear the angels sing,
music from Gods heaven,
echoing church bells as they ring.

Close your eyes go to sleep,
can you hear the angels call,
dont be afraid of shadows on the wall,
Sweet dreams close your eyes,
soft music in your ears,
dont be afraid, brush away your tears,

So now sleep, close your eyes,, have your little dreams,
one day we will know what all this wonder means,
now you are slowly driffting into sleep,
I can wipe that little tear, softley of your cheek..

this was a very soothing poem. It does sound like something you'd sing to a child to make him go to sleep after a bad dream.
